I'm in my 3rd week of lessons. I've been cooking many meals, all of which tastes different. But definitely with improvements. You know what's the best part in being a student? You get to make mistakes! Yippie!

In the first week of lessons I've been running around to get my schedule up. Add/Drop, Population waiver... all sorts of paperwork to do a scheduling alignment to observe. getting good teachers is another requirement to meet. But all's well now! I've officially gained 24 credits. That means I'll have to get another 116 credit points to graduate from college!

Making friends seem to be harder. I wonder is it due to my age, or is it because of my lack of social skills... At least I went to church last Sunday. It was ok. Good message. Near chinatown n boston common n Cheers!

Other than my harpists friends and a few teachers during lessons, I'm pretty much by myself. Which doesn't seem to bother me. Is this a sign that age is catching up?

For now, I don't care. I'm a student. Of course I wouldn't want to make unnecessary mistakes. But there were still quite a number of mistakes I made here so far. it's a totally different country and culture after all. I just hope such mistakes will reduce linearly with my length of stay.

Well, living environment here may not be as comfortable as back home. But, I still prefer the lifestyle here. It's really free and easy. People acknowledge your presence by greeting you, even if you are a stranger, and hold on to the door when you come right from behind.

There's even a blind student attending the school like anyone of us! She's has a guide dog. People in wheelchair are everywhere, and their chair has a remote control. So their free to roam around, yes, even on the streets. It's not difficult to see one. Every day you'll see at least one. Drunkards and addicts roaming on the streets, begging for money. It's all so common here. Police, ambulance, fire-engines' sirens sound all the time. Good practice for ear training. =)

Students of my school dressed up -- coolly. Many good-looking people, with many 'wannabies' too. Students come with different purposes, dressing, hairstyles. But all are friendly and gracious.

The coolest part of them all, 4 seasons. Fall is here. The autumn leaves of red and gold are falling from its branches, making the streets gold, sparkled by the ray of late summer sun. Wind is getting colder, but the lifestyles of people remain the same - friendly, gracious and enjoyable.

It's so weird that this phenomenon is totally opposite from Singapore. There's only 1 season, but lifestyles of the people changes together with the advancement of technology...

I wonder, which is better?
