Life is good.
Last Thursday's classes were so stressful cos I had to explain myself to the teachers and find out what are the syllabus, books and homework.
Spent the whole weekend, literally, in the library studying about civilization, confucious, lao tsu, egyptians, mesopotamians, hebrews, persians, greeks.... hampir pengsan. not to mention i had to study some psychology stuff and art history too.. thankfully the psychology and art history part were easier to handle.
i handed up my legacy homework today and took the world history test. i'm both amazed and amused when i saw the essays i've to write. just 3 days before, i wouldn't have understand what on earth the questions mean. not that i understand fully what the questions were today, but at least i had something concrete to write - that's the amusing part.
at the same time, i made a couple more new friends, both from the college and from berklee (students who study in roxbury for summer). hiro and i somehow made time to study together. it must be so freaking difficult for them to study world history in english (cos they are japanese)!
since hiro and i take the same T home everytime after class, i decided to explain to him what the teacher taught today. it's a win-win situation, as i needed someone to practice what i've just learnt on and he needed a simplified version of what the teacher had taught. so we decided that we'll do this everytime after class! sweet deal...
what amazed me most was when we were revising in the library last weekend, i told him i'll pass him the assignments i've done for my art history classes so that he can use them for reference the next time he take it. He was surprised that i even offered to share information with him. I asked why would he think that, he was dumbfounded. I added that it wouldn't kill me to hand him what i've learnt... he just smiled and thanked me..
i'm glad i made another new friend...
