well, so i did, and got Asaf (my roommie) to join too. It was so candid and spontaneous cos no one expected to find Yu Sang here. We asked around before, but most Chinese restaurants here don't practice this culture, other than Singapore/Malaysian restaurants - and there weren't selling.
On the faithful day, people started gathering at my place at about 815pm. Shelly and Az were the first. I wonder is it because of food, or are they just plain punctual creatures. Oh well... then Rozhan appeared with the Yu Sang... oh that fishy smell...
When I tried explaining what Yu Sang is to Asaf, he decided to stop me and just eat.. haha.. new stuff. I'm glad the experience was good for him though.
We bought 3 large pizzas and 3 bottles of soda to feed... Az, Shelley, Rozhan, Simon, Mel, Simon, Nish, Pearly, SK, Grace, Isabel, Asaf and myself. Sekali, the Yu Sang arrived before the pizzas. So I had to give everyone tissue paper to wipe off their drool... kidding.
The first pizza was gone in 5 minutes. (That's how hungry people were...) By then, it was close to 9pm. We were at lost at how to lou the Yu Sang... hehee.. cos there are no furniture in my living room!
So Asaf offered his office chair as a table, and we got the empty pizza box to 'alas' the plate of Yu Sang... When the girls were done 'decorating' and preparing the salad, we were taken aback by one IMPORTANT, but MISSING tool. CHOPSTICKS!!! Rozhan left them at home! hahaha.. thankfully Grace was at Cappy's (a pizza place). We asked her to 'kapuk' some forks over. That's how we survived lou-ing the Yu Sang without using hands!!
After all's done, Pearly, SK, Az, Shelley, Simon, Mel and Rozhan had to go. The rest of us who stayed played card games (Napoleon). Rozhan and Simon joined us after their 'business' and the 'party' continued till 1am.
