CNY 2006 @ Peach Farm, Boston

My first CNY in Boston. It was a great group, except for a few missing faces. However, I met Wen, from Singapore who's doing his first semester in Berklee. And Chai-chai, for the very first time. I've heard so much about him from the variouse Malaysians. Food was good. I love the calamaries (better with beer). The oyster was so-so, steamed in black beans, the crab n beef were not bad, the brocolli w some seafood... ok, i dunno how to appreciate that. The fish shouldn't have been deep fried. But all in all, the atmosphere was happy, nice n warm. The group was so big that we had to book 2 tables!

That morning, I called mum n dad to 'Bai Nin'. It was their New Year's eve and they had just finished their reunion dinner at my uncle's place. Coincidently, they were hooked up to webcams, video conferencing with my cousin in Liverpool, UK. And so, I too had a chance to see my family and relatives 'face-to-face'. Gosh.. I couldn't think of what to wish them (the chinese new year wishes)... and I had to go round like 5 times wishing my parents, uncle n 2 aunts, pouring out the slightest New year wishes I could think of, to the point, they had to teach me what to tell them.. it was funny... the best part was that I asked them to wire the ang pows to my account! To that, my mum answered that she'll save all the red packets till I return. How touching...

Then I had another video conferencing with my cuz in UK. Well, unexpectedly, I ended up providing them with personal tech support at the same time, cos their mic (audio) wasn't working. What nightmare, but well, it's a test of my tech knowledge (if I could still remember how to troubleshoot).

That was basically how I spent my Chinese New Year in Boston, year 2006.
